Medium duty towing in Port Allen, LA

Towing for RVs, motorhomes, box and step vans and small buses. Free estimates.

Your delivery van picked the evening rush on US-190 to stop cooperating, or your RV decided the I-10 shoulder near Port Allen was a nice spot for a long rest. Medium duty vehicles need a bigger truck than a car. Safe Seward Towing Company provides medium duty towing across West Baton Rouge Parish and Baton Rouge.

How do I stay safe with a big vehicle?

  1. Pull as far onto the shoulder as you can and turn on the hazard lights.
  2. Set warning triangles behind the vehicle, farther back than you would for a car.
  3. Keep passengers away from the traffic side.
  4. In an RV, if you smell propane, turn off the tank valve only if it’s safe to reach, move everyone away and call 911.
  5. If anyone is hurt, call 911 first.

Before an RV tow: what should I secure?

  • Close and latch the cabinets, the fridge and the doors.
  • Retract slide-outs, the awning and the steps if they still work.
  • Turn off the generator, the water pump and the propane appliances.
  • Take medications, documents and valuables with you.

Is it a tow or a roadside fix?

A dead battery may only need a jump start, and an empty tank diesel or gas delivery. If the vehicle slid onto soft ground, a winch-out covers vehicles up to medium duty. Moving several vans for your business? See fleet towing.
