Stuck in mud, a ditch or a soft shoulder? We pull vehicles up to medium duty back onto solid ground.
One wrong move onto a grassy shoulder after a Louisiana downpour, and your tires just spin in the mud. Roadside ditches here fill up fast, and soft ground turns into a trap even faster. Safe Seward Towing Company provides winch out service across Port Allen and nearby towns.

What does winch out mean?
It’s when a tow truck uses its winch and cable to pull a vehicle out of a spot it can’t drive out of: mud, a ditch, sand or a soft shoulder. If the vehicle drives fine once it’s out, no tow is needed. If it’s damaged, we can tow it.
Which vehicles do our winch-outs cover?

What should I tell the dispatcher?
- Where you are, or a pin from your phone’s map.
- The vehicle: year, make, model, and whether it’s loaded.
- Where it’s stuck: mud, a ditch, sand or a soft shoulder, and how far from the road.
- Whether the vehicle is upright, whether there’s water around it, and whether anyone is hurt.
What should I do while I wait?
- Stop spinning the wheels. It digs the tires deeper and can damage the vehicle.
- Turn on the hazard lights.
- If the vehicle is tilted or in water, get out on the safe side and move away.
- If anyone is hurt or the vehicle is in deep water, call 911 first.
What happens after the winch-out?
Once you’re back on solid ground, check the tires and look underneath for anything dragging or leaking. If a tire is damaged, we can put on your spare. If the vehicle won’t drive safely, we can tow it to a shop.
